In the traditional dairy of Arvaniti we create the conditions to revive the old recipes of the cheese history of Makedonia that was kept traditionally in the narrations of grandmothers. We use chosen full fat fresh sheep and goat milk from the grasslands of Makedonia in order to give life to the excellent cheeses with the authentic Greek taste, such as the Feta Tsantilas.

Like the old days in the village, the Traditional Feta Tsantilas is produced according to the old fashioned way. Full taste with sharp texture, it is made of carefully selected goat’s milk and it is strained in the Tsantila (the cloth). Then it takes its time to mature till it get the fullness of its taste. That’s how we get the unique taste and you can have a piece of healthy, pure and rich cheese as it comes from the greek cheese tradition.

You have in your hands a cheese produced in Greece for 4000 years.

• Cut the slice with knife or wire without teeth.

• Do not add the brine or water in bowl. The brine of the slice is produced so as to maintain ideal cheese; any other operation will affect taste.

• After opening the package, try to avoid exposure of the Feta in the air. There is no preservative, so it is natural that there will be oxidation.

• If feta starts to get rancid / oxidized, cut a thin layer on the surface and consume the rest.

• When removing the slice from the bowl, use clean knife or fork.

• When Feta gets to room temperature, it yields all its perfumes and you can enjoy the best flavor.

• Consume feta within 5 days of opening the package. When it is in Tupperware you can reserve it for more, but to have make sure that brine is enough to cover the cheese.

• Put the slice in your food or salad and reduce use of salt.

• Feta has a high acidity and that’s why it has a low glycemic index and it needs low-acid foods to tie with to be more tasty and healthy.

• No lactose.

• It is completely natural, with only milk ingredient.

• No preservatives. The maintenance of the Feta is made with salt.
