Στις 16-18 Οκτώβρη διοργανώθηκε στον Πειραιά το 2ο Φεστιβάλ Ελληνικού Γάλακτος και Τυριών. Στα πλαίσια του Φεστιβάλ διοργανώθηκε και ο 2ος Διαγωνισμός Ελληνικών Τυριών, όπου πήραμε μέρος και αποσπάσαμε τιμητικές διακρίσεις για τρία τυριά.
Δεκατρείς ειδικοί κριτές από τον χώρο της εστίασης και γευσιγνώστες δοκίμασαν και επιβράβευσαν την ποιότητα των τριών τυριών που διαγωνίστηκαν: Κατσικίσιο Χαλκιδικής, Γαής Τυρί και Κατσικίσιο Νεοχωρούδας.
Πρόσφατα είχαμε την τιμή να επισκεφτούν το τυροκομείο μας
στην Νεοχωρούδα, ο κύριος και η κυρία Χισάντα από την ομώνυμη εταιρεία
εισαγωγών τυριών στο Τόκυο.Οι
εντυπώσεις και οι συζητήσεις μας είχαν ενδιαφέρον, κι έτσι ζήτησα από την κ.
Χισάντα να μας γράψει ένα γράμμα για τις εντυπώσεις της από την επίσκεψη.
Πρέπει να σημειώσω πως η κ. Χισάντα έχει μελετήσει την τυροκόμιση στην Γαλλία
και έχει λάβει τον τίτλο Maître fromagère affineuse.

exhibition of Alimentaria 2008, our partner Symposion Alimentacion did
concentrate in two of our cheeses: Manouri and Halloumi.Alimentaria is getting more popular
exhibition every year with a continuous increase in its visitors and
exhibitors.

Alimentaria, the International Food and Beverage Exhibition, is once again preparing to turn Barcelona into the world’s food and beverage capital. The event will take place 10 - 14 March 2008 at Fira Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain), with 85% of the Spanish food and beverage industry expected to be there. For this new edition, the show’s organisers have undertaken to reorganise the exhibition space. For the first time since the show has been held in two venues, due to their increasing growth, the Intercarn and Restaurama shows will be located in Montjuic, while the rest of the sectors with be grouped together in the modern Gran Vía venue.

It was
quite strange feeling to present Greek cheeses for Japanese market.However, the visitors from Japan and other Asian countries in the Foodex 2008 in Tokyo, did show a growing interest in the
important Greek cheeses, such as Feta, Manouri etc.Our second attempt in the Foodex, was surely
more successful than the last years one.
European
cheeses are getting more and more popular in Japan, however the Greek ones are
still in the beginning of their recognition by the Japanese customers.Meetings we had, pointed out there is a rosy
prospect for the Greek cheese in the Japanese market.

The annual Food & Drinks exhibition in Athens was half visited as thick snow covered Athens at 17th of February. Our clients and many prospect clients visited our stand and tasted our products.
